Vintage will be accepting applications (see attachment – Due Monday, January 16th) from interested 4th and 5th grade students. Space is limited to 24 students. Students who participated last year are encouraged to apply again but are not guaranteed a spot. Parents and students will be notified by January 20th via email and a letter home if selected to participate. The first meeting is Tuesday, January 24th.
Students will need to commit to:
· Returning the completed application and returned it on or before Monday, January 16th - late submittals will not be accepted.
· Meeting twice a week: Tuesdays 1:38 to 2:38 and Wednesdays 2:45 to 4:45.
· Collaborating with a team to create the movie
· Attending one evening meeting at the Apple Store in Northridge Mall*
· Attending the Movie Premier at CSUN in the evening in spring (date to be announced)*
· Completing a photo/video permission form
Vintage’s goal is to produce four, short (3 1/2 min. or less), movies that address social issues (i.e., ecology, relationships, issues that affect students, etc.). These movies will be submitted to the MMtM Film Festival competition and winning submittals will be shown at the spring film festival at the Valley Performance Center on the Cal State University, Northridge, campus (CSUN).
