Each morning, Mrs. Raquel's first grade class eagerly listen to the fifth grade STORM (Student Team Of Reporters and Meteorologists) Group present the weather happening right here at Vintage. STORM gathers the data from off the web. The data is sent from weather sensors atop our school's auditorium and is part of the WeatherBug Achieve national weather program.
Mrs. Raquel gathered her class together as the start of school bell rang. They headed over to the Computer Lab for a mini field trip experience. The first graders saw first hand the weather board maintained by the STORM Group, got to meet the STORM members, posed with our current week's event reporters in front of the green screen, and were given a wonderful explanation of what STORM students do by STORM members Jeremy and Joyce from Room 1.
