Students can practice for the upcoming standardized testing at home just like they practice at school. Practicing the Smarter Balanced Assessment is important to help students feel comfortable and ready for the actual test starting in March 2014.
Gone are the paper booklets and pencils tests. Testing will now be done on computers or tablets. Each classroom, grades 3 through 5, will visit Vintage's computer lab to practice how to navigate the new testing system. The more practice they get, the more comfortable they will be.
Parents are encouraged to sit down with their student(s) and explore the Smarter Balanced Assessment practice student tests, too.
