Our keynote speaker will be Sabrina Houston from NASA's Johnson's Space Center. Sabrina Houston joined the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in 2018 as a health physicist in the Space Medical Operations Division overseeing all radiation missions at JSC and the White Sands Test Facility (WSTF). She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in radiological health engineering with a pre-medical focus and minors in nuclear engineering and mathematics. While at university, Sabrina was a member of the Navy/Marine Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, and participated in the university’s marching band, The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. Her time at JSC has allowed her to work on numerous projects such as Orion, Gateway, and Perseverance Mars Rover serving as the radiation subject area expert. She is a current member of the Health Physics Society, and holds several certifications including Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), Laser Safety Officer (LSO), and Nonionizing Radiation Safety Officer (NIRSO). Sabrina is a California native, currently living in Houston, Texas with her beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Isabelle.
