A big thank you to the Home Depot located on Balboa and Roscoe in Van Nuys and their managers, Issa, David, and Abel for making it happen. Their generous donation to Vintage's 4th Grade Garden Club helped us obtain bark mulch to keep down the weeds, dirt, dust, and mud in our gardens. The students look forward to spreading it out and the whole school will enjoy how nice it makes the gardens look.
All students in 4th grade plus any other interested classes (parents, too) are invited to help in the gardens. Just this week, the 4th Grade Garden Club enjoyed harvesting vegetables from their winter garden and creating a healthy salad.
Did you know that Home Deport holds classes for youth, ages 5 - 12, on the first Saturday of the Month from 9 to 12 AM? Randy, from Home Deport, invites any interested families with children to join him for fun, do-it-yourself projects.
