Vintage's own Student Team Of Reporters and Meteorologists (STORM Group) are busy learning how to use the WeatherBug Achieve program to gather weather data obtained from our own WeatherBug weather sensors. These sensors site atop the Vintage Auditorium. With this weather data, 5th grade students provide a useful service to the school.
STORM Group is open to all 5th grade students before school. Using the data gathered each school morning in the computer lab, students prepare and announce, over the PA, the weather forecast for the day. They maintain our weather wall with current and historical weather data. Students also produce a video called Vintage School Days Weather Forecast in which they present the weather for the school week as well as upcoming school events.
