Last year, Mrs. Moorman, Vintage 5th grade teacher, received a grant of MP3 players on which 92 different topic lessons were loaded. Lessons for that days walk are picked to supplement what is being taught in the classroom. Students are able to listen to the lessons repeatedly allowing for more opportunity to learn the lesson. Walking while listening to the lessons on their MP3 players combines exercise and learning at the same time. Students love it!
This year, Mrs. Rios and Mrs. Hall's 5th grade classrooms will be joining Mrs. Moorman's room in walking and learning out on the playground.
