Through a power point presentation, Mrs. Rogan share with the students where her ideas came from for both her characters and setting of the story. She talked about how music can inspire ideas and showed the process that an author has to go through to have their book edited and published. Mrs. Rogan autographed books for the students and then they enjoyed "Blackberry Ale" and "Lady Furball's Gingerbread Cake" for refreshments. Mrs. Rogan, in honor of her English heritage, was treated to a proper english tea party for lunch. An amazing time was had by all!
Fourth and Fifth grade students enjoyed a visit and presentation from author S. Jones Rogan on Tuesday, June 3rd. All students that participate in one of Mrs. Forbes' reading groups, had the wonderful privilege of meeting the author of the book they have been reading,"The Daring Adventures of Penhaligon Brush". This adventure story with a sequel, "The Curse of the Romany Wolves", has become an all time favorite of 42 kids at Vintage. To hear from the author who penned this classic was a huge highlight for the students.
