Each effort made to clean, polish, trim, weed, plant, etc., no matter how big or small, makes a positive impact on the school environment.  We greatly appreciate those volunteers that came out.

Thank You Leo, Ramiro, and Sophia for  Helping Vintage Run Smoothly for  the Day!

4/7/2017

Three very special students, winners at the PTA Auction, experienced, for a day, what it is like to run a school campus.  Two students, who won the Principal for the Day, shadowed Principal Mourao as she went through her day working hard to meet the needs of students, staff, parents, and the district.

Monday, March 27th, 4th grader, Leo K., sat in the principal's chair and expressed that if he was to make a change at Vintage as principal, he would have classes broken down by subject with students having different teachers for each subject. Leo quickly put to work his expert technology skills preparing a PowerPoint presentation about himself for the Student Award Assembly on Monday. The following Tuesday, 5th grader, Ramiro R.,  took charge. He made sure the staff was taken care of with coffee and donuts! Leo, gave his replacement, Ramiro, some pointers on preparing Ramiro's PowerPoint presentation for Tuesday's Award Assembly.  When asked, Ramiro proposed that if he was principal, he would do away with dress code.  Looking very impressive in his dress slacks, vest, and tie, we are sure students would want to follow his trend in attire.  A new addition to our PTA Auction was Plant Manager for the Day.  Vintage's plant manager, Mr. Wingfield, took 5th grade, Sophia L,  under his wing and showed her what it is like to manage a facility, with over almost 900 students and staff, keeping it clean and safe.  Sophia cheerfully pitched in where needed to make sure things around the campus ran smoothly and, if there were problems, trouble requests were made to the district, or she fixed them on the spot!  Thank you, Leo, Ramiro, and Sophia.

Vintage Volunteers News: Parent Center & Volunteer Tea

4/7/2017

Hello Vintage Families and Friends, As many of you may already know last Thursday March 30, 2017 our principal, Mrs. Moraou, with the company of our magnet coordinator, Martha Arias, and office manager, Jeannie Doidge, had the honor to inaugurate the new Parent Center surrounded by some of our wonderful parent volunteers that always help out our school in so many ways.  I also would like to thank you all who have taken valuable time out of their schedules to help us with the renovation of our Parent Center.

All Vintage parents are welcome every Tuesday and Thursday to visit the parent center. I personally hope to serve you in many ways and have the opportunity to know you better. Hope you can join us soon! - Alba Meza, Vintage Parent Rep

Volunteer Tea Held for Vintage's Sweet Volunteers

Tuesday, April 4th, the staff at Vintage hosted a Volunteer Tea for Vintage's wonderful volunteers.  Every gift of time by our volunteers spent doing something for our school has made Vintage a better place for our students.  It was with much appreciation that staff hosted a tea for its sweet, hard working, generous volunteers.  We know how hectic life can get these days, so we really appreciate the time you take and the talents you share that helps contribute to our school in a variety of ways.  Whether small tasks or large projects, each and every effort made by volunteers has made a difference.  Please continue to make a difference!  Vintage loves it volunteers!

A big thank you for Mrs. Schoneberg's, for all her effort to organize the tea and to her class for providing the entertainment for this special event.
