Spring 2015 School Beautification Day a Success

4/20/2015

A big thank you to Vintage community families and staff that showed their school spirit and turned out on Saturday, April 18th, 2015.  It was a beautiful day for being outside.  Families, students, and staff turned out willing to help wherever needed.  Planters were weeded and trimmed, plants planted, classrooms were scrubbed, trash was swept up up from one corner of the campus to the other, irrigation tubing was patched, and much, much more.  So much was done in two short hours (and an extra thank you to those who volunteered to work longer).  This wonderful group of volunteers definitely left the school a much better place for our students to be at.

Click here to see them hard at work and some of our before and after photos.

Congratulation to the raffle winners:  Aileen P.  in Room 32 and Bella L. in Room 1.

Thank you volunteers (if your name is not listed and you were here, please email dstone02@lausd.net and I will add you.)

Did You Miss NASA Night? Check Out the Video

4/6/2015

Check out the video and photos from that stimulating evening, especially if you were unable to attend the Spring 2015 NASA Night.    Attendees were presented with a wonderful talk by Ashwin Vasavada from the NASA JPL Mars Rover Curiosity Project.  Afterwards they were able to attend many science, technology, engineering and math related presentations in various locations around campus.  Vintage continues it commitment to expose students to an assortment of STEM related careers and products.  Thank you to all that attended or worked that evening.  Your participation helped make it a success for all involved.
