Monday, May 18th, 2015 Vintage's fifth grade students spent a long day at Hess Kramer Science Camp where the mountains meet the Malibu coast. Students gathered together at Vintage at 8AM full of energy and excitement for this year end activity and returned back to campus at 8 PM tired but pleased with all they learned during the day.
At camp, students participated in actives such as Science Cam, Oceans & Marine / Tide Pools (Students study tide pool specimens, learn about tides, wave action, gravitational pull of the moon and kelp forest), Adaptation Auction/ Mammalogy (Students learn about animal adaptations through an interactive auction), Riparian Ecology/Creek Hike, Adventure Rope Hill Hike (Students leaned about wild edibles, tracking, geology, chaparral ecosystem and Team Building games such as the giant sling shot).
