Vintage Magnet Attends VEX Robotics World Tournament in Dallas!

Four Robotics Teams competed at the VEX Robotics Tournament in Dallas. Teams E and B were awarded the STEM Research Project Award. Team B earned a ninth place finish out of 76 teams in their division in teamwork driving and Team D earned 5th place in their division. Team E won first place Team 91343E - VR Skills - Level Up!

Making Movies that Matter

Vintage Magnet Students participated in John Lee's Making Movies that Matter Film Festival on May 18 at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts . The ten students created four films that were nominated for awards. Congratulations Students!

Councilman John Lee visited Vintage Magnet to speak to the Science Fair Finalists! He congratulated the finalists and encouraged them to continue to pursue careers in Science.

School Board Member Scott Schmerelson Visits Vintage Magnet

Vintage Magnet welcomed School Board Member Scott Schmerelson on May 31. He came to participate as a Judge for our Science Fair and to watch a demonstration provided by our VEX Robotics Teams. He also spent time visiting classrooms. Thank you Mr. Schmerelson for your continued support of Vintage Magnet!

Regular Dismissal Procedures for 2023/2024

Parents, please complete the Google Form Titled "Dismissal Procedures for the 2023-2024 School Year" by this Friday, June 2nd, 2023. This will be noted as their regular dismissal procedure. If there are changes before the first day of school, August 15th, 2023, parents will need to contact our office to inform us. Once the school year begins, parents will need to communicate any changes to the regular dismissal procedure by sending a note to the child's teacher. Please complete one form for every child that will return to Vintage next year.

Reminder: The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, with dismissal at 1:38 PM, like all Tuesdays. Students not present at Vintage by August 18, 2023 will be removed from the Vintage roster, per district policy.

Padres, completen el formulario de Google titulado "Procedimientos de salida para el año escolar 2023-2024" el viernes, 2 de junio de 2023 a mas tardar. Esto se anotará como su procedimiento de salida regular. Si hay cambios antes del primer día de clases, el 15 de agosto de 2023, los padres necesitarán que comunicarse con nuestra oficina para informarnos. Una vez que comience el año escolar, los padres necesitarán comunicar cualquier cambio en el procedimiento regular de salida enviando una nota al maestro del niño. Youth Development Program Lottery for 2023/2024

Youth Development Program (YDP) lottery applications for the 2023/2024 school year were sent home with students in grades K through 4 on April 26th. If interested, please be sure to turn in the YDP lottery application by May 16, 2023 at 4:15 p.m. The lottery for next year's YDP spot will be held on May 17, 2023 at 3:00. Please click on the YDP Letter and YDP lottery application below for more information. Lottery applications received after 4:15 p.m. on May 16th will be added to the waiting list in the order they are received.
