Vintage Magnet's much anticipated Spring NASA Night took place on Friday evening, May 30th, 2014. Students, parents, and staff alike look forward to these fun expo-like NASA Nights that celebrate the love of science, technology, engineering, and math. Vintage is honored to have such knowledgable presenters and participants. This night, the keynote speaker was chief meteorologists, Josh Rubenstein, from CBS 2 and KCAL 9. The audience learned that his love of science and becoming a pilot led him to study the field of meteorology. Weather is a popular focus at Vintage as our fifth grade Student Team Of Reporters and Meteorologists (STORM group) report on the weather in weekly videos and over the PA daily during the school year.* After his presentation, students, and families had an opportunity to personally meet and ask Mr. Rubenstein additional questions and to take photos. We thank Mr. Rubenstein for making this evening a memorable experience for our school.
The evening didn't stop there. Vendors were available for refreshments - Fratelli's Pizza, Kettle Corn, Shaved Ice - to fuel the attendees as they visited the many presenters set up around campus. Additionally, a reception was held for Science Fair finalists and their families.
