Also made available to the program by The Apple Stores in Northridge and Woodland Hills was an opportunity for the program participants to meet with Apple team members to learn move about using the equipment and iMovie to create videos. About 23 of the MMtM students gathered together Monday evening at the Northridge Apple Store for a 1 1/2 hour session. Apple staff made the students feel right at home and shared some helpful pointers. Students also learned that there are free classes available at Apple stores for 8-12 year old children that are open to all students, not only MMtM students (check them out - http://www.apple.com/retail/learn/youth/).
Thursday, May 19th, at the Valley Performing Arts Center at CSUN, a film festival will be held featuring some of the videos created by students in various schools participating in this Making Movies that Matter program.
