Vintage is proud of the quality of our teachers so it was exciting news for us to learn that one of our own teachers, Mrs. Wakefield, was awarded the LAUSD 2017 Teacher of the Year (TOY) award. This is an honor given to educators who have established excellence in their school and school's community. The Teacher of the Year program celebrates excellence in teaching by recognizing teachers who inspire a love for learning in their students and who have distinguished themselves in the teaching profession.
Mrs. Wakefield has taught for 18 years. This is her 4th year teaching at Vintage Magnet. She is National Board Certified and has taught grades K, 1, and 2. She is excited and pleased to receive this award.
