I am proud to share in this special day and to celebrate with you, this accomplishment. There are many people who have participated in your Education through these years at Vintage Magnet. Your parents, teachers, classmates, parent volunteers, administrators. Your parents and family members were your first teachers. Thank you to the parents for creating in your children a love for learning. Thank you for being involved with their education by volunteering in the classroom and on field trips, participating with the PTA, helping raise money for special projects and the school, mentoring a VEX Robotics Team, and taking part in special events like NASA Night. Also, thanks for attending Back to School Nights, Open Houses, and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Your participation and involvement make a difference in your child’s life. Please continue to support your child with guidance, love, and patience as they navigate middle school, high school, college and beyond! Thank you, fifth grade teachers! Ms. Loeser, Mrs. Pachecho, Mrs. Cruz, Ms. Betts, and Ms. Converse! You have done an amazing job this year! Thank you for working so hard to provide your students with cognitively engaging, inspirational lessons. Students a whole village of teachers have prepared you for this day! Thank you to all of the Vintage Faculty! My narrative with this amazing group began when I met you in the auditorium on your first day of school in 2015. You were seated with your parents waiting to find out the name of your teacher, location of your classroom, and who your classmates were. I had the honor of welcoming you and introducing you to your teachers. During lunch, I was the one who supervised you and made sure that you were safe. Over the years, I have celebrated with you at the student of the month assemblies. Visited your classrooms to see your wonderful work. Taught some of you at Saturday School. Watched your Holiday Performances. Shared in the NASA night events and Fall Festival events you’re your families. Participated with you in the VEX Robotics program, competitions, and events. I will forever have lasting memories of all of you and will remember fondly how special you are! It is so hard to say goodbye. Because when we say goodbye, we are saying goodbye to this wonderful school and all the people who make it so great. But we must move on and make room for a new class who will be arriving soon. But remember that though you say goodbye to Vintage and move on to a new school and new friends, you will always have your wonderful memories of Vintage Magnet. You can share those with your classmates and family. You can think about the time when…. You can reflect on your days at Vintage with fond memories. In addition, to the great Education that you received, you have become wonderful people who are prepared to solve some of life’s biggest challenges. In closing, I want to share the story of one of your futures. A graduate of Vintage Magnet’s class of 2020 excels in studies in Middle School and High School and receives a scholarship to Massachusetts’ Institute of Technology. This person graduates and works for NASA where he or she creates a new ….. Another Vintage Magnet student from the class of 2020 works with a team of researchers who create a vaccine for …. Oh, the places you will go! I look forward to hearing about it! UPDATE: With the help of Vintage Magnet's wonderful PTA who created this sweet and touching video we just added below, Vintage's staff wants all of our students and their families to know that we will miss them and that they are the heart of our school. These past months have been uncharted waters but we are educator strong, student strong, and family strong - WE WILL PERSEVERE and DO OUR BEST and THIS TOO SHALL PASS. Until we come together again, stay safe. |
