The 2017-2018 VEX IQ Robotics Vintage Team A have earned their way into the VEX Robotics Competition in VEX World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky from April 28th to May 2nd. Vintage staff and students wish them good luck and know they will make us proud with all their hard work this year.
They participated in the regional league held at Mulholland Middle School and won the Teamwork Champion Award and the Excellence Award. The team was also part of the VEX in the Valley Tournament that took place at Holmes Middle School and obtained a second Excellence Award. The Excellence Award is given to teams that exemplify overall excellence and to a great extend our Research Project, inspired by the LAPD Bomb Squad robots, was vital to receive both Excellence Awards. They then competed in the California State Championship in Pomona resulting in an invitation to participate in the VEX World Championship.
