On December 8, 2018, Vintage Robotics Teams 91343A and 91343 B participated in the Vex in The Valley IQ Tournament at Holmes Middle School. I was a long day full of excitement, where our teams competed with middle school and high school participants! Our teams competed in skills competition, Teamwork competition where they are paired with another team, Notebook design and STEM Research Project. Team A did a video project called: “Math and Measurement and Scale” and Team B did a project named Discovering Math in Nature.
Our teams did an amazing job! The finals were a thrilling competition where Team A scored 26 points, just one point away from 1st place in Teamwork., for 2nd place. Team A also won the STEM Research Award !
Way to go Vintage! Our sincerest thanks to Robotics Coach Nolasco, Mrs. Stone for Video expertise, and Principal Mourao for her Robotics Program vision and support.
Let’s cheer them on at the next competitions: The Finals for the Mulholland League to be held on Jan 31, 2019, and the VexIQ Tournament at Castlebay Elementary.
