Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math was alive and well at Vintage on Friday, October 16, 2015. That warm, fall evening found the campus teeming with students and their family members. They were back on campus to experience an evening centered around STEAM activities. Numerous activities were held around campus by teachers and STEAM experts (see below).
The NASA Night evening kicked off with keynote speaker, Ms. Roxanne Arellanoe, a power systems engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Ms. Arellano shared how much she loved her job at JPL and all the wonderful and exciting opportunities she has had. Ms. Arellano was a reminder to our female students to think about a career in engineering. She also shared how she found math challenging but thought of it as a puzzle to be solved and learned to love it.
Below is a list of the fun activities that took place that evening, many of them hands-on. A big thank you to all the participants and to the our Vintage community for coming out and supporting this event.
